"The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."

- Thomas Edison

Naturopathic Doctors attend an accredited 4 year post graduate medical school. The first 2 years focus on the basic sciences such as anatomy, physiology, and pathology. The last 2 years focus on clinical education and wholistic therapies. Two sets of board exams must be passed before licensure can occur.

Naturopathic Doctors use western medical diagnostics, such as blood work and imaging, focus on using the least harmful and most natural treatments first to target the actual cause of the person's illness. We are guided by a set of principles that set us apart from other practitioners.

Naturopathic Principles

The Healing Power of Nature

Naturopathic Medine recognizes the body's inherent ability to heal itself.

Identify and Treat the Cause

Naturopathic Doctors seek to identify and remove the underlying causes of illness, rather than merely suppressing the symptoms.

First Do No Harm

Utilize the most natural, least invasive, and least toxic therapies first.

Acknowledge, respect, and work with the individuals' self healing process.

Doctor as Teacher

Naturopathic Doctors aim to educate and support patients with the information necessary so that they may achieve and maintain health.

Treat the Whole Person

Each person is unique and all aspects of the indiviual must be taken into account.

Prevention

Naturopathic Doctors emphasize prevention of disease by assessing risk factors, heredity, and susceptibility to disease, and by making appropriate interventions in partnership with the patient to prevent illness.
